The Hudson Company, a custom wood flooring mill, is hiring two seasoned professionals to join our Los Angeles showroom sales team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for architecture, interiors, and wood surfaces as well as a strong track record of detailed project management.

The Hudson Company’s clients include residential Architects and Interior Designers, cultural institutions such as The Whitney Museum of American Art, and retailer such as Rag & Bone, Buck Mason, Veja, Aesop, and 1 Hotels.

Responsibilities include:

– Build relationships with and provide a high level of personalized service to Architects and Interior Designers via showroom appointments, in-office presentations, and correspondence

– Assist clients in developing custom specifications of wood flooring, paneling, and beams uniquely designed for their project

– Prepare sample requests, quotes, sales orders, and provide support throughout the life of a project

– Offer material presentations to Architecture & Interior Design firms in California

– Maintain a beautiful, welcoming showroom and product display

– Manage and distribute an extensive sample library

Job Requirements:

– Passion for client services, architecture, and interior design

– 5+ years professional experience in Sales or Project Management. Experience in Luxury Sales or Home Furnishings is advantageous, especially with residential Architects and Interior Designers. Wood flooring experience is a bonus but not required

– Provide personalized client service skills, a high degree of organization, and the ability to manage projects with an extended life cycle

– Possess strong professional communication skills in all areas of client interaction: in-person, on the telephone, and in writing

– Work collaboratively on a sales team to exceed targeted goals

– Enthusiasm for a growing company

Based in New York’s Hudson Valley, The Hudson Company is a custom wood mill specializing in wood flooring, paneling, and beams. Founded in 1995, we operate 40,000 SF of production and finishing facilities and have four showrooms in New York and Connecticut.
