Nitro Commerce Raises $1.8M to Revolutionize D2C Customer Acquisition

Nitro Commerce, a pioneering martech startup co-founded by Umair Mohammed, known for his leadership at Wigzo, has successfully raised INR 15 crore (approximately $1.8 million) in its recent seed funding round led by Cornerstone Venture Partners. The round also saw significant participation from Warmup Ventures, Lead Angels, Dholakia Ventures, India Accelerator, and notable individual investors such as Arjun Vaidya and Kunal Khattar.

Addressing Ecommerce Challenges

Founded in 2023 by Umair Mohammed, Atyab Mohammed, Shamail Tayyab, and Pratik Anand, Nitro Commerce aims to empower ecommerce and D2C brands with innovative technologies designed to tackle the complexities of customer acquisition and revenue enhancement. The startup has introduced Nitro X, India’s pioneering revenue-as-a-service platform tailored for ecommerce and D2C sectors. This platform, featuring cookieless technology pending patent approval, is poised to redefine future-proof marketing strategies for online brands.

Strategic Vision and Market Impact

In an interview with Inc42, Umair Mohammed, CEO of Nitro Commerce, emphasized the rapid evolution of the ecommerce landscape and the critical role of advanced technologies in scaling business operations. “We are committed to democratizing access to cutting-edge marketing technologies,” Mohammed stated, underscoring Nitro Commerce’s mission to streamline the customer acquisition funnel for merchants of all sizes.

Nitro Commerce boasts a growing clientele of over 140 D2C and ecommerce brands, including prominent names like Revlon, The Ayurveda Co. (T.A.C), and Amrutam, leveraging Nitro X to drive substantial growth through enhanced data capture and personalized marketing strategies.

Future Roadmap and Product Innovations

Looking ahead, Nitro Commerce plans to expand its product portfolio with upcoming launches such as Nitro AI, aimed at empowering brands to harness large language models (LLMs) for advanced AI-driven insights. Additionally, Nitro Collab, currently in beta testing, promises seamless brand and influencer collaborations, slated for a Q4 FY25 release. The company is also developing Nitro Store and Nitro Play to further augment its comprehensive suite of solutions.
